Thanks for stopping by.... My name is Joe Presente....By profession I was a high school teacher in the juvenile correction system for the State of New Mexico for 19 years.  I am now retired.  I have been married for 38 years to my wonderful wife Mary Lou and we live in Albuquerque, N.M.

My purpose for creating this web page is a deep appreciation for Reformation Theology especially as it relates to the doctrines of God, Christ, Holy Spirit, man, sin, and salvation.  My theological orientation as it concerns these doctrines is Calvinistic, but as to the doctrines of ecclesiology and eschatology I am dispensational.

I regard my self as conservative, evangelical Christian.  I believe in the sovereignty of God and responsibility of man. I believe that salvation is by faith alone, in grace alone through Christ alone. I accept the label of Calvinist even though this label carries with it preconceived ideas, many of which are false.  Although it is a term held in disregard by many, it is a fairly efficient label conveying biblical truth as it relates to the doctrines of grace (sovereignty of God, total depravity, unconditional election, particular atonement, efficacious grace and perseverance of the saints).

I  am deeply concerned about the theological drift in today's evangelical Christianity.  Modern theology gives us a God  who is here to meet our needs, a Christ who has done His part and now waits anxiously for us to chose Him, a new birth that leaves us unchanged, and a false assurance that if we believe in a set of facts, all is well with our souls.  This is a sad commentary on the present state of what is labeled Evangelical Christianity.

Do you say you're a Christian?  If you have not come to see the Bible as the Word of God... if you have not come to see yourself as a sinner deserving of hell... if you have not come to personally trust in Jesus Christ, the God-man who died for sinners... and if you are not trusting in God through Christ alone, then I fear that you may "have no hope and are without God in the world," Eph.2:13.  May the Spirit of God bring you to a saving faith in the Son of God.

In His Matchless Grace,

Joe Presente
